OSOT Assistant Professor Dr. Suzanne Huot is a co-applicant on a $2,499,450 SSHRC Partnership Grant titled “Complex Migration Flows and Multiple Drivers in Comparative Perspective (MEMO).” MEMO will explore the factors driving different types of migration and the experiences of migrants and refugees across multiple continents.

Dr. Huot will represent the UBC Centre for Migration Studies (CMS) on this project, bringing a health lens and strengthening the team’s collective expertise in Francophone communities and migrant integration in Canada. This work builds on previous collaborations with co-applicant Dr. Leyla Sall and Project Co-Director Dr. Luisa Veronis and on Dr. Huot’s role as a lead investigator within the CMS’s Community-University Partnerships working group.

Congratulations to the team on the successful start to this initiative!
