Several of our members of faculty have received funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) in the role of co-applicant or collaborator on Insight Development Grants (IDGs).

Associate Professor Dr. Ben Mortenson is a co-applicant on two grants, entitled, respectively, “Connecting in Later Life: Canadian Older Adults’ Perceptions and Experiences of ICTs, Social Isolation, and Loneliness” and “The View from Here: Social Prescribing in Canada”, on the latter of which OSOT faculty Drs. Bill Miller and Brodie Sakakibara are also co-applicants. In addition, Associate Professor Dr. Laura Nimmon is a collaborator on “Community pharmacists roles in collaborative patient-centred care: a social network analysis.”

Congratulations to all for their success! We look forward to the advancement of this important, interdisciplinary work.
