After four exemplary years of dedicated leadership of the Rehabilitation Science Online Programs (RSOP), Dr. Leslie Duran is stepping down as the Director of these important graduate programs.
We are most grateful for Leslie’s creativity, calmness, and professionalism over these years as well as her sophisticated approach and attention to detail in the nuanced aspects of online teaching and pedagogy.
Leslie is a highly valued member of the UBC Rehabilitation Sciences and OSOT communities, and we wish her the very best in her new role with Island Health.
Leslie’s last day as Director is this Friday, April 29. We hope you will join us in thanking her for her long-standing contributions to the department and in wishing her the greatest of success in her next role.
In her place, we are pleased to welcome Patricia Mortenson and Daniela Cavalcante as our interim Co-Directors of the Rehabilitation Science Online Program for the coming year. Patricia and Daniela will begin on May 1, 2022, and will apply their considerable skill and experience to the program. Both have a long history with RSOP, having worked in teaching and supervisory roles in the program for many years. Welcome, Patricia and Daniela.
