We have two faculty members who are part of the prestigious UBC Green College Leading Scholars Program. This program enables newly appointed, early-career faculty members at UBC to meet colleagues outside of their fields and to host thematic series of interdisciplinary events are part of the College’s public programming.
Dr. Julia Henderson is a 2022–2024 scholar, and Dr. Laura Yvonne Bulk is a 2023–2025 scholar.
Upcoming events
- Academic Appetizer Hour with Green College Leading Scholars January 17, 3–4:30pm, features Dr. Bulk alongside colleagues from Business and Kinesiology.
- Embodiment Across the Disciplines: A roundtable conversation January 18, 5–6:30pm, features Dr. Henderson as part of a series which explores the performance of care; relational accountability; and the emotional labour involved in archival work, storytelling, translation, healthcare, creative practices and teaching.
