With the possibility of snowfall this winter, please review our protocol for on-site attendance to classes.
- If snow is forecast, check the UBC website for information, and sign up for campus alerts in case of a university-wide closure (see blue box below).
- If extreme weather conditions are expected and travel is deemed inadvisable, students, faculty, and staff will be notified by 6:30am (or as soon as possible if the weather unexpectedly changes during the day) by Dr. Ben Mortenson, Department Head.
- Students will be further contacted by their Course Coordinator, who will provide guidance on alternative arrangements for any scheduled classes.
Take this opportunity to sign up for UBC Alerts (Vancouver) or similar services (UNBC SAFE app in Prince George) to receive campus-specific alerts directly to your phone.
